Rumi is the first ethical AI assistant
An assistant that reads your email has to be careful with it. This is how Rumi keeps your data private.
- Read-only email. The connection to your mail can read and summarize — it has no permission to send, delete, or change anything. That is enforced by how Rumi is allowed to connect, not by a promise.
- Rumi drafts the follow-up in your chat. You review it there and send it from your own email app.
- Private by default. Access is whitelisted — Rumi answers the people you have added, and nobody else. There is no public number to text.
- Your content does not train AI. We do not train models on it, and our agreements with the AI providers that process it for us do not let them train on it either.
- We do not read your conversations. Our team looks at your content only when you ask us for help, when you send us feedback, when we need to investigate a security incident, abuse or a suspected breach of our Terms, when keeping Rumi working requires it, or when the law does.
