What the Telegram connection can see

Rumi reads the messages you send Rumi in your own thread, and answers them there.

That thread is the whole of it. The connection reaches no other conversation in the app, and no group you have not put Rumi in.

Who can text Rumi

Private by default. Access is whitelisted — Rumi answers the people you have added, and nobody else. There is no public number to text.

What Rumi does

    Send Rumi a voice note — in Farsi, Spanish, English or whichever language you speak. Rumi understands it, answers, and can give you the main points. The reply comes back as a voice note too.

  • Ask Rumi what's in your inbox

    Ask for a brief and Rumi reads your mail back to you — what needs you, what can wait. The connection to your mail is read-only: it can read and summarize, and it holds no permission to send or change anything.

  • A new lead comes in. Rumi drafts the follow-up.

  • Rumi remembers your people

    Tell Rumi once — the supplier who is always late, how you like a quote worded, who your regulars are — and Rumi keeps it. No forms, no fields, no setting anything up.

Questions about Rumi in Telegram

Do I need to install anything?
No. Rumi is set up in the messaging app you already use and says hello from it. You text Rumi the way you text anyone else, with no separate app and no dashboard to learn.
Do I need an iPhone?
No. Rumi works in Telegram, which runs on Android as well as iPhone. On an iPhone, Rumi also works in iMessage. WhatsApp is coming soon, and it is not switched on yet.
Can Rumi read my other chats?
No. The connection covers your own chat with Rumi and nothing else: no other conversation in the app, and no group you have not put Rumi in.
Will Rumi answer my customers?
No. Access is whitelisted: Rumi answers the accounts you have added and ignores everyone else, so it is not something your customers text.
Which languages can I text in?
Farsi, Spanish, English and the other major languages spoken in Los Angeles, in text and in voice. Send a voice note and the reply comes back as a voice note, in the language you used.
Can Rumi send email for me from Telegram?
No. You ask in the chat, Rumi drafts the email there, and you send it from your own email app. The mail connection is read-only, enforced by the permission you approve.
